Dragons

We have a class for 4-6 year olds, we call 'Little Dragons'. Here is a sketch I did for a tri-fold brochure about the class.

American Museum of Natural History in NYC is putting on a show about creatures that exists only in our imagination: "Mythic Creatures: Dragons, Unicorns, and Mermaids". There was a writeup about this in the New Yorker. According to the article, dragons exist in most mythologies in one form or another. Western dragons are fire-breathing meanies while Chinese dragons are more benevolent in nature (helping crops grow, that kind of thing).

I think I can guess the answer to this, but is your dragon benevolent or malevolent?

I like to believe the dragon in question is a mostly benevolent presence, although some of the students may disagree :)
Nice dragon... :)) American dragon, Asian dragon ... I thought yours would have an Indian touch... that would have been nice... ;)

You mean, a vyali? I don't have a clear picture of it in my head. Or it could be the 10-headed serpent Krishna danced on. :)

I did an image search for vyali and couldn't find anything of substance. Have to check out Mali's book. I remember enjoying his books as a kid, especially 'circus' (I think that was the name: It was about a bunch of maltreated circus animals that take over and start running the show).
